Spring Awakening … to What?


Lately, I’ve been thinking of the phrase “spring awakening.”

Maybe it’s because spring just kicked in. Spring, in various cultures, is a time where everything feels fresh and full of hope.

And to me, that’s what “spring awakening” is all about.

So, what’s your take on it? What’s sparking your heart and mind? What new perspectives are you opening up to? And how can they fuel your growth and well-being?

I see two paths.

One leads to general ideas like being more mindful, healthy, and lending a hand to yourself and others.

The other takes you down more specific lanes: like tackling your first 5K, shedding some pounds, planning a special trip with the kids, you name it.

I’m more of a wanderer on that first road. I picture myself syncing up with nature.

And this makes me feel grounded and safe, like I’m blossoming under the sun’s rays and ready for whatever’s next.

This doesn’t mean I’m coasting through life these days. It means I’m embracing the journey of Becoming…

– The best partner
– The best friend
– The best version of me I can muster…

Now, maybe your spring awakening is lighting a fire under you to chase specific dreams in the coming months, and that’s awesome.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here.

Just go with the flow of rebirth, renewal, and that fresh burst of energy… Let it guide your healthy choices around exercise, food, downtime, and connections.

So here are some journal prompts to consider:

  1. What are some things in your life that you have alot of energy for? Why those things? And where does the energy for them come from?
  2. What do you want to learn? What skills do you want to master?
  3. If you could invest the rest of your life and know you could change one thing in the world around you, what would it be? What led you to choose that?

Take them out into your world and let their answers reveal themselves to you.

Intend for deeper levels of clarity  and allow yourself space to be an observer to what comes up.
