I’m not a therapist and we don’t spend too much time in the past or on the problem, with one exception – we do look at your past successes or times when you were remarkably brave or fierce and bring those experiences forward to propel you towards your highest self.

Some are more independent and prefer a rough blueprint while others love more support or have a medical condition that calls for more support. I also have extensive knowledge on macronutrient strategies (acceptable amount of carbs, fat and protein allocation) getting you closer to healthier alternatives.

Neuroscience is a fascinating field and holds a special place in my heart, as I’m living and thriving with a brain tumor. And a few years later, being hit by a car as a pedestrian, I suffered a traumatic brain injury. These events have made brain health incredibly important to me.

My approach is based on the idea that understanding your unique situation, and developing self-awareness about your strengths, resources, and coping mechanisms, can boost your confidence and empower you to tackle challenges, ultimately enhancing your emotional well-being.

John Arden, PhD, author of Rewire Your Brain, emphasizes the importance of a healthy foundation, stating, “You can do whatever kind of psychotherapy or analysis, but if you don’t have a healthy foundation, you’re building a house on sand.”

Health coaching is essential in helping people initiate and maintain sustainable health changes—changes that can significantly impact conditions like dementia and mental illness.

In my approach to health and wellness coaching, I distinctly separate it from psychotherapy, counseling, or psychoanalysis. I prioritize creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, avoiding any form of belittling, denigrating, or punishment. Guilt-inducing tactics have no place in how I work. It’s essential to clarify that I do not interpret blood tests or provide medical diagnoses, nor do I function as a therapist. My role is centered on empowering individuals to make positive lifestyle changes and achieve their health goals through guidance, support, and motivation.

My approach to addressing hormonal imbalances and metabolism issues is personalized and holistic. I start by conducting thorough assessments to understand your individual needs, focusing on lifestyle interventions that can make a real difference. Additionally, I emphasize addressing root causes rather than just managing symptoms. After all, body change is about fat loss and hormones, not weightloss and calories.

With personalized support and accountability, I empower you to make sustainable lifestyle changes that lead to improved hormonal balance and metabolic function over the long term.

Starting a new program can be tough, especially when motivation wavers or sticking to it becomes a struggle. In my program, I provide personalized 1:1 sessions tailored to your needs, ensuring we address your specific challenges and goals professionally. Alongside these sessions, you’ll have regular accountability check-ins to keep you motivated and on track. But I’m not just a voice on the other end of the line—I’m here for you through email, text, or even voice notes whenever you need a quick pep talk or have a question. With this comprehensive support, you’ll feel both guided and empowered to overcome any obstacles and achieve your health and wellness goals.
Your privacy and confidentiality are paramount to me. I utilize an online platform that complies with HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR regulations, ensuring that your personal information and coaching sessions remain secure and protected at all times. This platform serves as the primary health hub, where all client information is securely housed. Additionally, while I offer a fitness app for delivering workouts, it’s important to note that client information is not stored within the app itself; instead, it’s solely used to facilitate the delivery of workouts. Rest assured that your privacy and confidentiality are diligently safeguarded across all aspects of our coaching process.

To accommodate the diverse needs of my clients, I offer flexible scheduling options, Monday through Wednesday, and Saturday, 9am – 12pm and 3pm – 5pm Hawaii Standard Time. Additionally, I am happy to work with clients across different time zones to find mutually convenient appointment times.

Health and wellness coaching when medically needed is eligible for reimbursement with your Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA).

For this to happen, you will need a letter of medical necessity from your doctor or health care professional. Please contact your carrier for precise instructions.
